We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the September, 2019 NORM-IX Symposium to be held in Denver, Colorado, USA. Authors should submit abstracts for oral papers or posters presentations by 31 January 2019.

    NORM radiation protection concerns can be found in many industrial sectors, such as: oil & gas; metal processing; rare earth & other mineral production; uranium & thorium mining; water & wastewater treatment; coal combustion; paper & pulp, geothermal, phosphate and fertilizer industries.

    These concerns can relate to: recognition of radiation exposure scenarios; environmental, worker and public protection; radon exposure; uniform definitions & regulatory control; worker training; field and laboratory measurements; waste management and disposal.

    Submission of abstracts: Anyone wishing to present a paper or a poster during this symposium conference must submit an abstract of not more than 1000 words in electronic format (no paper copies), through the symposium’s web browser-based file submission system, which will be accessible through the CRCPD website for the symposium. The abstract should give enough information on the contents of the proposed paper to enable the NORM IX Symposium Scientific Committee to evaluate it. Authors should state to which of the topics their contribution relates. The abstracts must be submitted through this system between 22 June 2018 and 31 January 2019. No other form of submission will be accepted.
