 Gary Beard

WHEREAS:

Gary Beard has over 37 years of devoted service as a public servant, many of which have been in support of state public health programs; and

WHEREAS:

Gary Beard has exhibited exceptional abilities as a facilitator in the process of negotiating contracts with states to inspect mammography facilities under the authority of the Mammography Quality Standards Act; and

WHEREAS:

Gary Beard has also exhibited unusual sensitivity to the needs of the states in negotiating contracts to inspect diagnostic x-ray facilities for compliance with FDA's X-ray Performance Standards; and

WHEREAS:

Gary Beard has revitalized radiological health training as a course offered by the Office of Regulatory Affairs, FDA; and

WHEREAS:

Gary Beard has provided support and professional guidance to the Board of Directors of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.;

NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

Gary Beard is hereby recognized and appreciated by the Board of Directors of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. for his support of public health goals and his outstanding work with the states, especially in the area of radiation protection; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT:

Gary Beard is recognized and appreciated for his support of and assistance to the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.
