Kevin McCarthy

 

Whereas:

Kevin McCarthy has over 19 years of devoted service as public servant in the Connecticut Radiation Control Program, 13 of which were as the director of the program; and

Whereas:

Kevin McCarthy provided leadership in Connecticut's efforts to resolve many technical and administrative issues relating to the burial of low-level radioactive waste and the decommissioning of sites contaminated with radioactive material; and

Whereas:

Kevin McCarthy provided professional guidance in enhancing Connecticut's emergency response program relating to commercial nuclear power plants within the state; and

Whereas:

Kevin McCarthy served on the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc., providing valuable technical guidance to this committee;

Now be it resolved that:

Kevin McCarthy is hereby recognized and appreciated by the Board of Directors of the Conference of Radition Program Directors, Inc. for his support of public health goals and his outstanding leadership in providing radiation protection services to the citizens of Connecticut; and

Be it further resolved that:

Kevin McCarthy is recognized and appreciated for his support of and assistance to the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.
