BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION

 Paul Lohaus
 

Whereas:

Paul Lohaus will retire as Director of State and Tribal Programs of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) October 2005.

Whereas:

Having served in an exemplary manner during his tenure as STP Director, Mr. Lohaus has continued to support the important role that state radiation control personnel play in regulatory issues at both the state and national level for 33 years;

Whereas:

Mr. Lohaus has provided the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. (CRCPD) significant opportunities to partner with NRC in our mutual regulatory missions;

Whereas:

Prior to his service on the Commission, Mr. Lohaus was responsible for protecting the citizens of New York from unnecessary radiation exposure;

Whereas:

Mr. Lohaus has been active in national programs that benefited radiation protection programs throughout the United States;

Now, therefore, be it resolved:

That Paul Lohaus is worthy of high respect and appreciation for his many years of support of the aims of the CRCPD and the partnership with the NRC.

Be It Further Resolved:

That Paul Lohaus is hereby recognized and commended by the CRCPD Board of Directors for his outstanding professional career in support of national public health goals related to protecting the citizens from unnecessary radiation exposure while providing them the benefits that can be derived from proper use of radioactive materials.
