This pocket guide (3" x 5") was developed by radiation experts so all first responders are working with the same guidelines. Very durable, waterproof, and alcohol-safe, this guide provides both general and specific information for use during the first 12 hours after the detonation of an explosive radiological dispersal device (RDD), also called a dirty bomb.
Included in the guide are a What To Do flow chart, suggested incident zones for impacted areas and suggested activities for each of these zones during the first 12 hours, turn-back exposure rates and dose guidelines, and what will provide a shield from each type of radiation, as well as some Rules of Thumb guidance.
The RDD First Responder's
Guide, CRCPD Publication #06-RDD-PG, is available for $1.50 each.
There is no additional charge for shipping and handling.
When ordering quantities of
5,000 or more,
your information can be printed on the Contacts panel of the guides at no additional charge,
saving you time and money by eliminating the need for labels.
Quantity discounts are available: 10% off orders of 5,000 or more;
15% off orders of 50,000 or more.
We understand you cannot read the text in the images below, but we are providing them to give you a better idea of what the RDD Pocket Guide looks like. The 16.25" x5" document has five panels (four accordion folds), making it a 3"x5" guide that easily fits into your pocket.

For custom printing on the Contacts panel, contact lcarigan@crcpd.org.
A companion handbook is in its final stages and will be available in the very near future.
