Ralph Bunge

Whereas:

Ralph Bunge has provided over 30 years of devoted federal public health service in the protection of the public, and especially the patient, from unnecessary radiation exposure; and

Whereas:

Ralph Bunge has been actively involved in, and provided leadership in, national programs that have assisted states in their effort to protect the public, patient, and radiation workers from unnecessary radiation exposure; and

Whereas:

Ralph Bunge was one of the early pioneers in the development of the very successful NEXT program; a program that has been extremely useful to the x-ray programs of state and local radiation control programs throughout the United States; and

Whereas:

Ralph Bunge has provided invaluable assistance in the development and implementation of training and certification programs under the provisions of the Mammography Quality Standards Act for state and local radiation control personnel who perform inspections of x-ray facilities; and

Whereas:

Ralph Bunge has provided longstanding support and professional guidance to various working groups of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc., especially the NEXT Committee and the MQSA Working Group of the Committee on Mammography;

Now be it resolved that:

Ralph Bunge is hereby recognized and commended by the Board of Directors of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. for his support of national public health goals and for his outstanding professional contributions to state and local radiation control programs; and

Be it further resolved that:

Ralph Bunge is recognized and appreciated for his many years of support of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.
