William P. Dornsife

WHEREAS:

William P. Dornsife has over 21 years as a public servant in the Pennsylvania Radiation Control Program, approximately six of which were as the director of the program; and

WHEREAS:

William P. Dornsife, during the 1979 reactor accident at Three Mile Island, served as the governor's personal representative at the site; and

WHEREAS:

William P. Dornsife provided tireless and exceptional service to the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD) in many capacities, including Chairman of the organization, a member of the Board of Directors, a member and leader of several CRCPD committees, and served as "Mr. Low-Level Waste" for the CRCPD; and

WHEREAS:

William P. Dornsife, as Chairman of the CRCPD, excelled in establishing relationships, on behalf of the CRCPD, with many professional organizations; and

WHEREAS:

William P. Dornsife has been actively involved in national programs that benefited not only the Pennsylvania Radiation Control Program, but radiation protection programs throughout the United States;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

William P. Dornsife is hereby recognized and commended by the CRCPD Board of Directors for his support of national public health goals and for his outstanding professional contributions to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and to state and local radiation control programs throughout the United States; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

William P. Dornsife is respected and appreciated for his many years of strong support of the CRCPD.
