RDD/IND Scenarios--available from the menu bar on the left.

The HS/ER-3 Task Force has compiled scenarios addressing radiological incidents that include nuclear detonation, radiological dispersal devices, and transportation accidents.  These scenarios are intended for use by State/local radiation control programs.  They can be used as a template to develop or customize a radiological scenario for a drill or exercise.

Reports from the G-56 Task Force for Enhancement of Radiation Control Program Personnel [Posted 9/27/07]

G-55 Training Modules on Employee Orientation, Applied Radiation Physics, and Nuclear Medicine.

Although the information about CRCPD Assistance with Unwanted Radioactive Material program is available on the open side of our website, this paragraph is placed here to target Director Members.  Ruth McBurney recently sent an email to the states regarding the changes in the program and in the contract.  The program has expanded its scope.  The indemnification issue that prevented many states from entering into a contract with CRCPD to participate in the National Radioactive Material Disposition Program has been resolved.  Quoting Joe Klinger, Chair of the E-34 Committee on Unwanted Radioactive Materials, "with this problem resolved, unless your program has the ability to disposition 'orphan' radioactive materials on its own, I don’t see why every state does not have a contract with CRCPD to take care of existing orphans or to be prepared to expeditiously disposition orphan sources as they are encountered."   There are now two editable versions of the contract, one for CRCPD paying vendors and one for CRCPD reimbursing the RCP for payment of vendors.  You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.   [7/12/07]

8OPERATIONS HANDBOOK [Updated April 2007] for Working Groups under the Environmental Nuclear, General, Healing Arts, Homeland Security/Emergency Response, and the Suggested State Regulations Councils

This handbook provides operational and policy guidance to CRCPD working groups that are under the coordination of the Environmental Nuclear (EN), General (G), Healing Arts (HA), Homeland Security (HS), and Suggested State Regulations (SSR) Councils.  In view of the wide variety of activities that CRCPD working groups are engaged in, it is essential a system be established to improve planning, coordination, and control for the council chairpersons and working group chairpersons.  This handbook is intended to help accomplish these objectives and provide the necessary guidance.

The documents listed below are incorporated into the Operations Handbook (click here for the documents listed by Appendix number) but they are standalone documents as well.
