Presented to

Debbie B. Gilley (FL)

For her significant contributions in the field of radiation protection, and in particular for her contributions to the goals of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors. Ms. Gilley has served on the Board of Directors for two separate terms, including a term as Chairperson. As an officer, member of the Board, and Chair of several key committees, Debbie has served the organization in an exemplary manner.

Some of Ms. Gilley’s major contributions to CRCPD and the radiation community include: outreach to the medical community to ensure radiation protection for the community; her work with the Committee on Unwanted Radioactive Materials to help ensure a safe disposition for radioactive material; her work with IAEA in assisting developing country’s radiation control programs; pioneering development of a Radiation Response Volunteer Corps in Florida; and her participation on the NRC’s ACMUI, where she brings a great state perspective to the medical isotope regulatory process.

Ms. Gilley has used her enthusiasm for the multi-faceted discipline of radiation protection to get others involved and excited about the field and CRCPD. Additionally, Debbie has consistently been a strong advocate for CRCPD with other professional organizations and federal partners.
