REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE:
 

Pre-registration and on-site registration fees are the same. You are strongly encouraged to pre-register since check-in at the conference is faster and easier for those pre-registered. Online registration is available until April 28, 2006. When sending your registration by fax or by mail, an individual is considered pre-registered when a registration form AND payment or a purchase order are received by April 21, 2006. If your registration material has not been mailed or faxed in time to be received by April 21, 2006, bring it with you and register on-site, or register online until April 28th.

Cancellation Policy: If conference registration cancellation becomes necessary, CRCPD will refund the fee paid less a $25.00 administrative fee if CRCPD receives written notice of cancellation by April 21, 2006. If CRCPD receives notice of cancellation after April 21, 2006, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. CRCPD will be unable to issue guest fee refunds for the Chairperson’s Reception and Night Out after April 21, 2006.

Rates:  Government (GSA)
$93.00 single/double/quad plus 15% sales tax. These rates are available three days prior to and three days after the National Conference based on availability.   
The Federal Lodging Plus Per Diem  rates in effect for this meeting are Lodging: $93 plus tax; Meals and Incidental Expenses $49.

Reservations:

A block of rooms has been reserved in the name of the “CRCPD” at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center, Detroit, Michigan. You must call the hotel directly toll free at 800/352-0831 to make a reservation.  You may guarantee your reservation with either a credit card or one night’s deposit.  If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call and cancel by 6:00 p.m. on your arrival date or your deposit will be forfeited/credit card charged.  NOTE:  Guaranteed reservations are held for one night only – not for the entire stay. Cut-off date for making reservations is April 3, 2006.  

Transportation:

The hotel does not offer complimentary transportation to and from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.  The Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center is approximately 30 minutes from the airport.  Taxi service is the most economical mode of ground transportation to/from the airport.  The cost of a cab is approximately $41.00 one-way.  You are strongly encouraged to share cabs.

SOCIAL EVENTS:                                                                       
 

There is no charge for you to attend the social events if you are registered for the entire National Conference.  If you register for one or two days, your registration fee includes attendance to one of the social events.  You will need to select your preference on the “38th National Conference on Radiation Control” registration form. Your guest is welcome to attend the social events – the guest information section on the registration form needs to be completed and the appropriate guest fee paid.  The following two National Conference social events are scheduled:

The Night Out is a casual event that will be held at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

These social events are separate from the Guest Program.

GUEST PROGRAM:                                                          
 

The guest program is managed by the Michigan Radiation Control Programs, including collecting any fees associated with any of the guest program events. The Guest Program Event Sheet is available in several formats:  PDF    RTF   Word. Michigan staff suggest that all guests who are planning on participating in the guest program reserve their spot by contacting Mary Ann Elzerman elzermam@michigan.gov at 517/241-1281.

EMERGENCY CALLS FOR ATTENDEES:                  
 

If someone needs to contact you during the day, advise the hotel operator to direct the call to the CRCPD office in the Ontario Exhibit Hall East. The CRCPD office staff will make every effort to locate you to relay the message. In the event we cannot locate you, we will leave a message on your room voice mail and on the CRCPD Message Boards. You cannot use a house phone to retrieve your messages. The voice mail system can only be accessed from individual sleeping rooms.
